Honestly, I was hoping to find a discussion that
rivaled that of the Chaos listerv, with scientists
from all disciplines exchanging diverse ideas freely
and seeking a common ground on which to communicate
from different epistemologies. It seems a little too
stuffy in here for me. Something about the pressure to
uniformity, the homogeneity of spineless, chinless
simps who cling to a herd for safety. To say that you
need some new blood is an understatement. What this
group needs is a transfusion.

Mr. Ehrenfels:

Your invective is immature and cannot possibly be intended as
constructive communication. If this list-serve fails sufficiently to
serve your opinions, kindly stop posting to it. The type of unsupported
ad hominem rhetoric you have inundated my email with today is a grossly
inconsiderate nuisance.

Meanwhile, thank you for citing the Chaos listserv. I will check them
out. Perhaps they do include the "intellectual depth" you claim to like
-- rather than the peevish sniping you exemplify too well, and as of
today, far too often.

I have added your name to the list of things my email filters out:
pseudo-medicinals ads, money schemes, and porn... You're the first
individual to go on that list! Feel free to analyze that subtext.

But don't bother attempting to inform me of your results. I can cut my
junk mail considerably by letting my computer put your postings straight
to trash. I recommend other SFTP members consider the possibility of
doing the same. I can now enjoy the informative contributions of those
like Mr. Gaspar and be spared the nonsense.
