  I used the abdominal probe yesterday when the patient had a very high bifurcation and I wanted to be sure that what I thought was the ECA actually WAS the ECA.  

  I've never had to do that before, but it certainly was reassuring to me.  I was able to show color in all 3 vessels at the bifurcation, which made me more at ease with what I had measured with the 7-4 Linear probe.

  I'll do anything to see what I have to see.

  Of course the abdominal probe can't be used for any doppler measurements.
