For a long time now a plurality of those eligible to vote have shown that they have no faith in either the republocrats or the democlins. The practice so well mastered by the ruling class of offering Americans a choice between two persons either of whom will function as president while the same general policies of making the world safer for corporate capitalism and US overseas investments are continued has alienated the electorate from participation in the political process. Not only is Bush a minority president but so also would Gore have been. It is now openly acknowledged that running someone for president is a marketing task and is to be carried out with minimum reference to policy or principle. Clearly Carl Rove is good at marketing Bush and never lets the truth get in the way. It is likely that even more voters will stay away from the pols next November than last. One can expect that diminishing morale and alienation of the population from politics will continue in spite of the pains inflicted upon them by those in power until an alternative is presented. No i do not know how to promote the alternative, but i do know that promoting one of the "leading contenders" for the Democratic nominatiion will only deepen the alienation. Herb
