The weather wasn't too bad at West Rutland Marsh
today - compared with the past couple days that
is. Four participants tallied 20 species. Despite
the low number of people and birds, there were
some interesting sightings:

Ring-necked duck (1); northern harrier (1);
red-tailed hawk (2); ruffed grouse (1); common
raven (3); pileated woodpecker (1); brown creeper
(2); American tree sparrow (15); swamp sparrow
(2); and common grackle (1)
