I had great looks at a single Lapland Longspur this morning, feeding along the
sandy shore of Lake Pinneo in the company of 7 Snow Buntings. I believe it
was
my first record of this species in the Upper Valley.

The lake was 80% frozen and supported just a lone Canada Goose standing on the
ice.

Other birds of interest were 2 flocks of Am. Tree Sparrows totaling 24 birds
and 9 Dark-eyed Juncos.
