We are also interested, especially in legal aspects. Besides housing
these journals, can library lend copies? What if the membership is
institutional? Would this be covered under a donations policy? How
would it apply to donations & claims from BackMed, used to help start a
small library?

Thanks to Jonne for agreeing to share responses to the list. Please
respond to her.

Thanks - Peg

Subject: Not-for Profit and journal subscriptions

I hate to ask this but here goes, please don't everyone jump on me at
once.
Journal subscriptions are becoming so outrageous! We are a small not
for profit facility and are having a hard time with these prices. Is
there any way, or are there any journals that it's ok to house in a
library if the journal is received by an employee as part of a society
membership?, if the facility is paying the employee's membership dues?
