32 hours is considered full time in Richmond. This qualifies the
employee for health and dental insurance. Leave time is prorated based
the number of hours worked divided by 40. Do you have town personnel
policies? To qualify for state retirement, you must work 24 hours per
week.

What are the maximum hours a part-time person can work before being
considered full time for benefits, i.e.retirement, insurance, vacation?
The town does have their own policy for this but was wondering state and
federal laws. Thanks, Nancy
