How Can We End Racism? The Power of Protest! Wednessday, February 25th at 7:30pm Lafayette, room 100 Come to a free, public meeting featuring Kathleen Brown from the International Socialist Organization and Jessica Randall from the Black Student Union. In the 1960s and 1970s, Civil Rights activists around the country demonstrated, boycotted, and finally pressured Congress into outlawing segregation and other racist practices. But today, racist attacks on affirmative action, immigrant rights, and the scapegoating of Arabs and Muslims have taken their toll on the movement. Taking a look at today's statistics, much of what was won seems to have been lost, from the re-segregation of schools to the criminal injustice system. How do we stop the attacks? End the injustice? How can we build a new Civil Rights movement? For more info contact 864-9678 or [log in to unmask] --
