Hi All,
VIA will be receiving an award for all of our awesome work in the
community!!
This is a neighborhood leadership award from the city of Burlington. We are ALL
invited to the celebration event, the Neighborhood Night of Success at Contois
Auditorium in City Hall (across from Red Onion on lower Church St.) on APRIL 1,
from 5:30-7:30 PM. The event will include (FREE!) dinner and dessert, kids'
activities, musical performances by Burlington High School's Choir and Jazz
Band, and of course an awards ceremony.
Let's all go down and celebrate the great work you all are doing in the
community. Please invite your community partners and your VOLUNTEERS!! Feel
free to also invite any supporters, alums living in the area, professors, etc.
OR little buddies, classrooms, etc. Let's make it a big party--it's free and
open to the public! The coordinator of this event is not only a UVM and VIA
Alum, but also the founder of SEEDS--so SEEDS 'n' Sprouts folks especially, it
would mean a lot if you could be there!
I would like to get a head count of coordinators/council members who will be
attending (I'm looking into getting pins or buttons for us, so if I could get a
head count before next monday...), so there will be a sign-up sheet in the
office on the desk with the rolodex right when you come in.
