UVM Student-Athletes Honored at Graduation

BURLINGTON, Vt. -
At the various graduation ceremonies held at the University of Vermont last weekend, Catamount student-athletes were honored dozens of time with awards, honors degrees and citations of excellence.

Here is a list of UVM student-athletes who were honored in ceremonies on May 22nd and 23rd:

Bethany Brodeur (Bennington, Vt.), Track and Field/Cross Country - Golden Key International Honour Society. Inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education.
Becky Daley (Rutland, Vt.), Women's Hockey - Mortar Board. College Honors from the College of Arts and Sciences. " Inducted into Psi Chi, the national honor society for students pursuing a career in psychology.
Bridget Ferrin (East St. Johnsbury, Vt.), Track and Field/Cross Country - Cum Laude. The America Reads Counts Award and the Lyman C. Hunt Jr. Reading Award, Department of Education.
Jen Fullerton (Landaff, N.H.), Women's Tennis - Wildlife and Fisheries Biology Achievement Award.
Sara Jablonski (South Huntington, N.Y.), Women's Soccer - Summa Cum Laude. Golden Key International Honour Society. Faculty Award for Outstanding Senior Thesis Research and Presentations, Environmental Studies Program.
Joanna Kahn (Shelburne, Vt.), Women's Tennis - Margaret B. Corbin Award, awarded to outstanding graduate student in Department of Physical Therapy.
Emily Klemp (Laurium, Mich.), Skiing - Award of Excellence in Scholarship, Leadership and Professional Promise, Department of Communication Sciences.
Kristal Kostiew (Northwood, N.H.), Track and Field - Outstanding Senior in Physical Education, Department of Education.
Michele Palmer (Plymouth, Mass.), Track and Field/Cross Country - Golden Key International Honour Society.
Amanda Paquette (Brownsville, Vt.), Field Hockey/Track and Field - Inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education.
Carol Rogriguez (Wilmington, Del.), Field Hockey - Benjamin Forbes Award from the Department of Nutrition and Food Science, presented to the student whose academic record and scholarship indicates promise and potential for leadership in Food Science.
Jamie Rubin (Oceanside, N.Y.), Women's Soccer - Cum Laude. Phi Beta Kappa. Golden Key International Honour Society. Outstanding Senior in Italian, Department of Romance Languages.
Matt Sheftic (Essex Junction, Vt.), Men's Basketball - Ccommissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, Department of Military Studies. USAA Spirit Award, ROTC.
