   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   Tonight: Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots, becoming north and
   diminishing to 5 to 10 knots late. Waves 1 to 2 feet, slowly subsiding
   to around 1 foot late.
   Saturday: North Winds 5 to 10 knots in the morning, becoming south
   around 10 knots in the afternoon. Waves around 1 foot. A chance of
   rain showers in the afternoon, reducing visibility to 5 miles at
   times.
   Saturday Night: South Winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A
   chance of rain showers, reducing visibility to 5 miles at times.
   Sunday: South Winds around 10 knots in the morning, becoming northwest
   around 5 knots in the afternoon. Waves around 1 foot.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock yesterday
   is 97.72 feet, and the water temperature is 42 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Saturday May 8 will be a 5. This is in the
   moderate category.
