   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   A Lake thunderstorm advisory is in effect from Burlington south
   through this evening

   This evening: South Wind 5 to 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot. showers
   and thunderstorms likely south, reducing visibility to below 5 miles
   at times.
   Tonight: South Wind increasing to 15 to 25 knots. Waves building to 2
   to 4 feet.
   Friday: South Wind 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
   Friday Night: South Wind 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
   Saturday: South Wind 10 to 15 knots, becoming northwest. Waves 1 to 2
   feet.

   There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday and
   Saturday, possibly reducing visibility to 5 miles at times.

   Winds and waves May be locally higher in the vicinity of any
   thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock is 97.38
   feet, and the water temperature is 43 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Friday, May 14 is a 6. This is in the
   moderate category.
