   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   Tonight: South Winds 10 to 20 knots, becoming northwest by morning.
   Waves 1 to 3 feet. A chance of showers.
   Tuesday: Northwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A chance
   of showers or thunderstorms early in the morning.
   Tuesday Night: North Winds diminishing early to 10 knots or less.
   waves subsiding to a foot or less.
   Wednesday: Winds becoming south at 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   Visibility around 5 miles in any rain. Winds and waves will be higher
   in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.56
   feet, and the water temperature was 43 degrees. The ultraviolet index
   for Tuesday, May 11, is a 6. This is in the moderate category.
