   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   A Lake wind advisory is in effect for today

   Today: Southwest wind 15 to 25 knots, becoming northwest in the
   afternoon. Waves 2 to 4 feet. Occasional showers and thunderstorms,
   mainly from late morning on, reducing visibility to 3 to 5 miles at
   times.
   Tonight: North Wind 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
   Sunday: North Wind 5 to 10 knots. Waves a foot or less.

   Winds and waves will be locally higher in the vicinity of any
   thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock is 97.30
   feet, and the water temperature is 45 degrees.
