   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   A Lake wind advisory is in effect for today through midnight tonight

   Today: South Winds increasing to 20 to 30 knots. Waves building to 4
   to 6 feet. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this
   afternoon, which May reduce visibilities to around 5 miles.
   Tonight: South Winds 15 to 25 knots through midnight, then becoming
   southwest and decreasing to 10 to 15 knots. Waves 2 to 5 feet,
   subsiding to 1 to 2 feet after midnight. Showers and thunderstorms
   likely with visibilities reduced to 3 miles. Winds and waves will be
   locally higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.
   Friday: North Winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.06
   feet, and the water temperature was 47 degrees.
