I just received information about a grant opportunity from the Toshiba America Foundation.

http://www.toshiba.com/taf/apply.html

Tha grants are focused on improving math & science education, must "advance teaching units", must occur during the school day, must be completed by May 1 with a final report by May 15, must take place over at least three class sessions, and should not be based solely on the purchase of a pre-packaged kit. You'll have to open up the application to read all the guidelines since they are not on the website.

Funds may be requested for the purchase of project materials for student use only. NOTE that computer hardware, AV equipment, and field trip expenses may NOT be included in the budget.... so while Toshiba is an electronics/computer manufacturer, the grant is not focused on technology from their company.
