   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   A Lake thunderstorm advisory is in effect for today

   Today: South Winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves around a foot.
   Tonight: South Winds at around 10 knots, becoming light. Waves around
   a foot.
   Wednesday: Southwest winds at around 10 knots. Waves around a foot.

   Scattered showers or thunderstorms today and tonight. Visibility to 3
   to 5 miles in any rain. Winds and waves May be locally higher in the
   vicinity of any thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 96.18
   feet, and the water temperature was 72 degrees. The ultraviolet index
   for today is a 6. This is in the high category.
