   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   Today: Light and variable winds, becoming northwest at 5 to 10 knots
   this afternoon. Waves around 1 foot. Visibility occasionally lowering
   to 3 to 5 miles in scattered showers. A chance of thunderstorms this
   afternoon.
   Tonight: Light and variable winds. Waves less than a foot. visibility
   occasionally lowering to 3 to 5 miles in scattered showers and
   thunderstorms early.
   Sunday: Light and variable winds early becoming south at 5 to 10
   knots. Waves around 1 foot. Visibility occasionally lowering to 3 to 5
   miles in scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

   Winds and waves May be locally higher in the vicinity of any
   thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock is 96.10
   feet, and the water temperature is 69 degrees.
