1.  Talib Kweli   ----------------------------
     Get your tickets now for Talib Kweli with special guests The New Deal,
Manifest Nextome, and local DJ legends 3 The Hard Way this Saturday night in
Patrick Gym.  Tickets are going quickly and can be purchased at the UVM ticket
office (upstairs in Patrick Gym) at PurePop and will also be available for cash
outside Cook Commons all week.  Tickets are $20 for students but prices go up
to $30 on Saturday.  Doors at 6:30, Music begins at 7:00.  See you there.

2.  OC Fest Friday   ----------------------------

Contra Dance  at the Cook Commons Patio

Gates open at 10am with vendors (Climb High, Oasis Sports, Jay Peak, Sugarbush,
and many more), BBQ, a jib rail competition, and a climbing wall.

Music will start in the afternoon and goes throughout the evening.  Come and
enjoy , have free food and listen to music.
UVM bands on stage this Friday:
Tanglewood, starts at 2pm
The Flo, starts at 3pm
Ten Mile Tide will play at 7pm
The Slip hits the stage at 9pm

Saturday Sept. 25th
Raft Race!
Build your own raft and race it down the length of North Beach for a BBQ
afterward!  The only rule in this competition that all parts of your raft
including the paddles must be homemade.
The race starts at 3pm.

3.  Vantage Point   ----------------------------
     Are you creative?  Would you like to see your work published?  Vantage
Point is the Literary and Artistic Magazine at UVM and is looking for work from
anyone in the UVM community, from freshmen to President Fogel.  The deadline
for work for this semester is October 15.  If you would like to send your work
for consideration, email written work to [log in to unmask]  Art can be dropped
off at the Art Office in Old Mill or submitted digitally.  If you would like to

running a successful business while getting your hands dirty? CREAM,
Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management

6.  BSU Soul Food Social   ----------------------------
     We are having our second annual Soul Food Social.  It will be located in
Billings North Lounge on October 2 at 5pm.  Donations are greatly appreciated
and it will be first come first serve.  Be prepared to sing, dance, read
poetry, and have a good time.  All are welcome!!

7.  Join the Rally Cats Club   ----------------------------
     Rally Cats Club-  Rally Cats Club is a chance for the Students to get
involved with the University of Vermont Athletics.  Do you have school PRIDE?
This is your opportunity to plan, lead, and carry your Catamounts to VICTORY!!!
We are not looking for fans, but FANatics.  You will have the opportunity to
design Club T-shirts that will act as your "Uniforms" come game day.  Access to
Promotional items at games, and chance to win tournament tickets as a thank you
from the Players for your support!

8.  CATS   ----------------------------
Grab your dancing shoes and learn from the pros this Thursday night in Billings
North Lounge how to salsa dance.  The Campus Activities Team along with
Alianza/Latina is sponsoring our second annual salsa dance lessons on September
23 with FREE food and plenty of fun to go around! Come dance the night away!

Do you have a band started and want to play in front of hundreds of UVM
students??  Come play or enjoy the selection of bands that are all from your
very own campus on the Chittenden/Buckham/Wills Green from 7:30-11pm. Look for
the big heated tent with FREE food and rocking bands!

We are now accepting applications to join our team.  Pick one up an application
at Student Life in the Billings Student Center if you are interested. Due date
is Fri, September 24 so apply today!
