Film - Vocational Opportunity Works! - Documentary & Discussion October 28, Thursday, 3:30pm to 5:00pm, Memorial Lounge, Waterman, UVM Not Tinseltown - our town. That's what the Rutland community and a nonprofit group captured on video over the past year. Vocational Opportunity Works! (VOW), a supported employment program affiliated with Rutland Mental Health Services, received a grant to document the challenges and opportunities facing people with mental illnesses who are trying to return fully to the community. Through interviews of workers with mental illness, their employers, family members and the community, the video gathers opinions and concerns about reintegrating those recovering from mentally illnesses into the workforce.
