An amazing morning at Lefferts Pond today with 35
species. On or along the pond were Canada geese
(96), mallards (3), wood ducks (25), ring-necked
ducks (4), spotted sandpiper (1), and great blue
heron (1).

Warblers were everywhere, in a feeding frenzy,
and included Nashville (1), chestnut-sided (1),
magnolia (1), black-throated blue (1),
yellow-rumped (5), black-throated green (4),
blackpoll (1), and common yellowthroat (3).

Also present were red-breasted nuthatches (2),
brown creepers (2), winter wren (1),
golden-crowned kinglets (4), ruby-crowned
kinglets (9), blue-headed vireo (1), red-eyed
vireo (1), swamp sparrow (1), white-throated
sparrow (10), dark-eyed junco (4).
