...ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL POSSIBLE ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY ON
FRIDAY...

A STORM SYSTEM WILL BE MOVING UP TOWARDS THE REGION FROM THE
SOUTHWEST LATE ON THURSDAY AND INTO THURSDAY NIGHT...THEN IT WILL BE
PASSING THROUGH THE REGION TO THE EAST ON FRIDAY. RAINFALL ASSOCIATED
WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL START TO SPREAD UP ACROSS THE REGION FROM THE
SOUTHWEST BY LATER ON THURSDAY AND INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. THE RAIN IS
EXPECTED TO MIX WITH AND CHANGE OVER TO SNOW...ESPECIALLY IN THE
MOUNTAINS OF VERMONT AND NORTHERN NEW YORK STATE...BY LATER ON
THURSDAY NIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY. ACCUMULATING SNOW...ESPECIALLY IN THE
HIGHER ELEVATIONS...IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REGION BY FRIDAY.

NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS FOR THE FIRST
WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL OF THE WINTER SEASON. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER
