Hello,
I would be interested in corresponding with librarians/information specialists who play a role in telenursing/teletriage services. I am currently on contract with a telenursing centre that offers triage and health information to callers. I am looking at their policies and processes around managing resources they use to answer questions, particularly those which cannot be answered by the usual triage database algorithms and require access to the wider health knowledge base. I am curious how other call centres decide from an administrative and risk-management perspective which resources can be used, and how nurses manage to find the information they need to answer callers' questions. Do librarians/information specialists manage collections of approved resources for teletriage nurses? I look forward to connecting with those of you who work in this field.
