Today on the lammoille river in milton there were 20+ common mergs and 30+ hoodies. I was happy to see about 10 woodducks, all in pairs. Also along the river were 2 red-shouldered hawks, crows, 1 killdeer, 1 swamp sparrow, canada geese, red wings and ring billed gulls. Mammals included a river otter and a red fox.

Mike C. - if you see the grosbeak again look on the breast and note the skreaking and color. Light streaking on a "orangy" breast would mean black-headed.
