Colleague Connection is looking for both first time attendees, who want to get the most out their first MLA, and returning members willing to act as their lifeline as they negotiate the maze of sessions we call MLA.

Colleague Connection matches returning, more experienced attendees with new members or first time attendees. Its purpose is to welcome new attendees and help them feel comfortable at the meeting.

Remember your first MLA annual meeting and how daunting and confusing it could have been without a little help from friends and colleagues? Returning members get the satisfaction of helping new members or first time attendees feel welcome. First time attendees meet an experienced meeting attendee who can help them get the most out of the meeting.

All that is required is to meet or make contact a couple of times during the meeting. You will get your Colleague's email address before the meeting. We recommend that you contact each other by email before you leave for San Antonio to arrange for a time and place to meet.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Rae Jesano, AHIP, Health Science Center Libraries, University of Florida-Gainesville, at 352.392.9175 or via email at [log in to unmask] Indicate whether you want to be paired with an experienced member or help a new colleague. The deadline is April 20, 2005.
