Along Taber Road in West Swanton this evening I saw a NORTHERN SHRIKE.
Ten minutes later, down the road about a quarter mile, I spotted another
Shrike, possibly the same one.

Also saw a pair of Northern Harriers cruising low across a field. Can't
remember when I've last seen a pair of Harriers.

I visited the area to check out the field that floods nearly every
spring. There wasn't a lot of water in the field, and no ducks, just
one GREAT BLUE HERON. Also lots of MALLARDS flying back and forth
across the whole area.
