The strong south winds today sent several raptors cruising on high past my house
today. Sharp-shinned and Cooper's hawks as well as an unknown buteo. Later at
Mt. Philo, I spotted one lone Broad-winged. Also had the chance to observe a
winter wren singing his heart out not ten feet from me. It's always been one or
the other (hear one sing or see the bird) but not both.
