   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast

   A Lake thunderstorm advisory is in effect for this afternoon

   This afternoon: South Winds 10 to 20 knots, becoming west late. Waves
   1 to 2 feet. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, with visibility
   occasionally reduced to below 5 miles in heavier precipitation. Winds
   and waves May be locally higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.
   Tonight: Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots in the evening, becoming north
   and increasing to 15 to 25 knots overnight. Waves 1 to 3 feet. A
   slight chance of an evening shower south, with visibility remaining
   unrestricted.
   Thursday: North Winds 15 to 25 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 98.78
   feet, and the water temperature was 43 degrees.
