My wife and I have observed a female Rose Breasted Grosbeak feeding 2 young at our feeder over the last couple of days. We hadn't seen any since a couple came through back in the spring, and then all of sudden, there they were. Very cool to watch her swoop down, pick up a seed, and then fly back and feed it to one of the young. We watched this for about 30 minutes, and each time she would alternate from one to the other. No sign of any males, though. They were feeding on Black Oil sunflower seeds...
