   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast 

   Tonight: Southeast winds around 10 knots becoming northeast 5 to 10
   knots late. Waves around 1 foot. Rain. Visibility reduced to 2 to 4
   miles. 
   Sunday: Northeast winds around 10 knots becoming north. Waves around 1
   foot. Occasional rain, reducing visibility to 3 miles at times. 
   Sunday Night: North Winds 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. rain
   showers likely. Visibility reduced to 3 to 5 miles at times. 
   Monday: Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot. Rain
   showers likely. Visibility reduced to 5 miles at times.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock was 97.24
   feet, and the water temperature was 54 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Sunday October 23 is a 1. This is in the low
   category.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Sunday: Mountains obscured in clouds. Mixed rain and snow. Highs in
   the lower to mid 30S. East winds 20 to 30 mph. 
   Monday: Cloudy with scattered snow showers. Highs in the lower 30S.
   Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.
