Sorry, Michael, I couldn't resist!!!! To Roz: While I have a very basic Nikon coolpix3200, one thing I found about closeups. If I use the camera at the lens length that occurs when I turn it on, I can get super closeups 2-3" away. I find it suits all my needs for butterflies, bugs, etc. If I hold the camera back from my subject and try to zoom in with my lens, I cannot focus. Ruth Stewart E. Dorset, VT
