A cool link noted on Quebec's Songsparrow list-serve: Longtime member and former President Brooke Clibbon has drawn attention to an interesting new website which Songsparrow members may wish to check out. Here is what she says: "There is a wonderful new web site -- The Internet Bird Collection -- http://www.hbw.com/ibc/ -- sponsored & run by the people who are publishing the Handbook of the Birds of the World. The web is a repository for short videos of (currently) almost 6000 bird species, over 20% of the total number of world species. It's a great learning site, especially if you are going to a new region and are not familiar with the local birds. Anyone can contribute. I have a number of videos up myself and so far seem to be the only Canadian contributor."
