URGENT!!!! Below is a message from Celane McWhorter of National APSE. I will write on behalf of Vermont APSE but that is not enough. Read the attachment and follow Celane's request. Please act quickly on this. AN URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL APSE MEMBERS !!! President Bush sent his budget requests to Congress yesterday for fiscal year 2007. He once again has asked Congress to eliminate funding for the SE State Grant Program, as well as the Projects with Industry, Recreation, and Migrant and Seasonal Workers programs authorized in the Rehabilitation Act. Please read the attached action alert and begin to contact your federal lawmakers NOW! We lost 20% of our funding in for this year. The battles for FY 2007 funding are going to be even tougher. PLEASE START CONTACTING YOUR SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES NOW AND FOLLOW UP OFTEN. WATCH FOR APSE CALLS FOR ACTION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND FOR UPDATES ON THE APSE WEBPAGE (www.apse.org). Thanks for all you do to advance supported employment in your communities.
