Despite the biting wind and cold five observers
tallied 16 species at the West Rutland Marsh this
morning. Of note were 1 red-tailed hawk, 2 ruffed
grouse, a flock of 36 wild turkeys, two common
ravens and a lone American robin. Black-capped
chickadees were abundant.
