I've begun to notice that blowdowns often harbor mean holes, after 
narrowly escaping a backward tumble into a pit earlier this year. There's 
lots of new stuff down with all the wind. 

Although it is probably redundant to say this here, look out on Mount 
Washington also. The hollow brush traps and spruce thickets can be extra 
nasty.
