ANDY

IT HAS BEEN IN MY TRAINING THAT ANY VEIN OR VEINS THAT HAS AN ARTERY WITH
IT, IS A DEEP VEIN. SO WE CAN CALL IT BOTH A DVT OR A GAST/SOLEAL CLOT(IT
IS SAFER TO CALL IT A DVT). I HAVE SEEN DRS TREAT BELOW THE KNEE DVT W/
JUST LOVENOX AND FOLLOW UP. OTHERS PUT THEM IN THE HOSP. IT IS A CASE BY
CASE THING.

A DR ALSO WAS IN QUESTION WHEN I CALLED A PREMILIMARY TO HIM AND HE
SAID,”IN THE PAST WE DIDN’T GO BELOW THE KNEE BUT A DVT IS A DVT HAVE THE
PT ADMITTED”
