Deluge of FDA safety info drives physicians to reference services

Article Abstract: With the FDA issuing more revised safety alerts, drug packaging inserts, and Web updates-a situation that some are calling "information overdrive"-many physicians are turning to reference services that provide access to clear and concise drug safety information. Prompted by a renewed national interest in drug safety, experts say the FDA is working to provide physicians with more information on potential drug safety concerns. However, physicians, health care organization officials, and academic researchers say they are "still not getting enough practical help."
