   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast:

   Today: Variable wind less than 10 knots becoming north less than 10
   knots. Waves less than 1 foot. Periods of rain, with an isolated
   thunderstorm possible. Visibility restricted to 3 to 5 miles at times.
   Tonight: Southwest winds around 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot.
   scattered showers, with visibility restricted to 5 miles at times. 
   Saturday: Southwest winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. showers
   likely, with visibility restricted to 5 miles at times.

   Winds and waves May be higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock in
   Burlington was 97.10 feet, and the water temperature was 48 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers in New York. Summits
   obscured in clouds with rain and an isolated thunderstorm possible in
   Vermont. Highs 40 to 45. Variable wind around 10 mph becoming
   northwest 10 to 20 mph late. 
   Saturday: Summits obscured in clouds with showers likely. Highs around
   40. Southwest to west winds 25 to 35 mph.
