   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast:

   Today: South Winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A chance of
   showers and thunderstorms this morning into early afternoon.
   visibility around 5 miles in any rain. 
   Tonight: South Winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves around 1 foot. 
   Sunday: South Winds increasing to 15 to 20. Waves building to 1 to 2
   feet.

   Winds and waves May be locally higher in the vicinity of
   thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock in
   Burlington was 99.24 feet, and the water temperature was 54 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, with highs in the mid
   60S. West Winds 25 to 40 mph. 
   Sunday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 70S. West Winds 20 to 35 mph.
