   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast:

   Today: South Winds 5 to 15 knots, becoming northwest by mid to late
   afternoon. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A chance of showers this morning, then
   showers and thunderstorms likely this afternoon with visibility
   reduced to 3 miles at times. 
   Tonight: Northwest winds 5 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet. A chance of
   showers and thunderstorms early, with visibility reduced to 5 miles at
   times. 
   Wednesday: North Winds around 5 knots, becoming south late. waves less
   than one foot.

   Winds and waves May be higher in the vicinity of any thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock in
   Burlington was 98.96 feet, and the water temperature was 63 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: Partly sunny with a chance of showers through mid morning, then
   showers and thunderstorms likely from late morning on with summits
   becoming obscured in clouds. Highs 60 to 65. West To southwest winds
   15 to 25 mph, becoming northwest by mid to late afternoon. 
   Wednesday: Partly sunny. Highs 60 to 65. Northwest winds 5 to 15 mph,
   becoming southwest in the afternoon.
