   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast:

   A Lake thunderstorm advisory is in effect for this afternoon and
   evening.

   Today: South Winds 5 to 10 knots through mid-Morning, then shifting to
   the west. Waves around 1 foot. A slight chance of showers this
   morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. A
   few thunderstorms May produce gusty winds and small hail. Visibilities
   reduced to 3 miles or less in any thunderstorms. 
   Tonight: West Winds 5 to 10 knots, becoming south after midnight.
   Waves 1 foot or less. A chance of evening showers and thunderstorms. A
   few thunderstorms May produce gusty winds and small hail. Visibilities
   reduced to 3 miles or less in any thunderstorms. 
   Saturday: South Winds 5 to 15 knots. Waves around 1 foot.

   Winds and waves May be locally higher in the vicinity of
   thunderstorms.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock in
   Burlington is 99.04 feet, the water temperature is 68 degrees.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Today: A slight chance of showers this morning, then a chance of
   showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. A few thunderstorms May
   produce gusty winds and small hail. Highs 55 to 60. West Winds
   increasing to 15 to 25 mph. 
   Saturday: Partly sunny. Highs 60 to 65. West To southwest winds 20 to
   30 mph.
