   The Lake Champlain open waters forecast:

   Tonight: North Winds 10 to 20 knots, becoming northwest 5 to 10 knots
   overnight. Waves 1 to 2 feet. 
   Wednesday: Northwest winds around 5 knots. Waves less than one foot. 
   Wednesday Night: Light and variable winds, becoming south 5 to 15
   knots overnight. Near calm water, then waves building to around 1 foot
   overnight. 
   Thursday: South Winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 2 feet.

   The Lake Champlain Lake level at the King Street ferry dock in
   Burlington is 98.60 feet, and the water temperature is 77 degrees.

   The ultraviolet index for Wednesday July 19 is an 8. This is in the
   very high category.

   The higher summits forecast for Vermont and Northern New York:

   Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 60S. Variable winds
   5 to 10 mph. 
   Thursday: Partly sunny. Highs in the mid to upper 60S. Southwest winds
   10 to 20 mph.
