FYI, Thomson Scientific acknowledged the role of input from the the
NAHRS/MLA (Nursing and Allied Health Resources Section) in their decision to
add nursing juornals to the Web of Science. 20 new titles were added,
bringing the total to 59 (hardly doubling). You can write for a list. See
http://scientific.thomson.com/press/2006/8341223/ for the announcement.
NAHRS would also like to acknowledge the role of the MLA Board and M.J.
Toohey, President last year, who attended the ISI meeting with Susan Jacobs
and two representatives of INANE, the International Academy of Nursing
Editiors, who initiated this effort.

Note that new titles will not appear in Journal Citation Reports until
indexed for three years.

The new titles. will also be identified on the forthcoming update of Key
and electronic nursing journals (my current deadline project for Cinahl
Information Systems), available sometime in October.

Hope this helps - Peg
