A quick reminder! The next JOBS Quarterly meeting will be held this
Friday at the Vermont Historical Society Community Room at the Vermont
History Center (60 Washington Street) in Barre from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Please remember that all JOBS staff is invited as well as VR Counselors
that work with your program.
I apologize for the delay in getting this information out to you. Both
Laura and I have been out of the office and operating under a limited
schedule and we appreciate your understanding. I've enclosed directions
to the Vermont History Center following the agenda.
One thing we'd really like to do this Friday is have the opportunity to
discuss a proposed new funding structure for JOBS and get your ideas
about it's possible impact on services. This is very preliminary but
your input at this point in the process is very important.
Per Krista's suggestion, I'm more than happy to allow some time for
folks to bring treatment plans for discussion. This will provide a good
opportunity to discuss how we define "treatment" and what services the
JOBS program can and cannot provide.
Lastly, I know some people don't like taking the time for program
updates but others have found it very helpful. Hopefully it's a chance
to share best practice and learn from each other.

route 14 (towards Barre/302)
As you come come in to town, make a right on to 302 East (Washington St)
(just past the old fire station on the right)
As you pass the town square, you'll see the Historical Society right in
front of you (A large brick building with a statue of Robert Burns in
front).

I am noticing that we are fast approaching the retreat this week and I
haven't see directions yet, I wasn't sure if I missed them. Also, I
know in the past we have talked numerous times that we wanted to focus
on bringing treatment plans that people have developed for JOBS programs
and share them. Is that something we can do this time or put on the
agenda for next time?
