12 participants enjoyed cool but sunny weather at
this morning's West Rutland Marsh monitoring
walk.

The walk started well with one Carolina wren.
This, however, was topped by the two marsh wrens
observed at the conclusion of the walk!

Also of note was an aerial display between a
red-tailed hawk and a common raven. Large numbers
of blue jays (21), black-capped chickadees (39),
northern cardinal (9) and American goldfinch (25)
were seen and/or heard.
