    The Harlequin Duck was quite close to close to shore at midmorning, staying  in the middle of a group of some fifteen  actively-feeding Goldeneye.  He was hard to pick out  with binoculars but a delight through the scope.  This was across from the Shelburne shipyard and  toward the nearer island to the left.

    But we did not find the Purple Sandpiper at the Shelburne Access.  Pipit
