I count the first one that crosses my desk.  The rest get crossed off – while we understand that you can only sign one per office – the general populace doesn’t seem to comprehend that (some do, most don’t) but the person who brings it back first gets the credit in our office.  We also have them get extras.

How do you handle a person signing two petitions for the same seat? Is there a written law on this?

Do you take the signature on first petition handed in or void on all petitions signed?
