Any firsthand reports from today on Mount Mansfield out there in SkiVT-land? This, of course, is a rhetorical question, but I'm asking just the same.

Why is it that forcacsters nail rain events perfectly every time but not
never snow events?

The latest from the NWS:
SHORT TERM /TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
SLY WINDS ABOVE 1KFT AND ASSOCIATED WARMING ALOFT FROM LATE MORNING
ONWARD CONTRIBUTED TO MORE SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS /5-6"/
BEING CONFINED TO OUR CANADIAN BORDER COUNTIES. ELSEWHERE...A MIX OF
SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN HAS PREVAILED

5-6" is considered significant.

This is pathetic!
