Subject: Managing Your Listserv Subscriptions

Does anyone know how to unsubscribe?

Hi Octavia,

There are a number of ways to manage the behavior(s) of this list ... some of them are located at the list homepage ...

http://list.uvm.edu/archives/science-for-the-people.html

1. will be prompted for a login, which is easily set up, and from there you will see several options, including "join or leave Science-for-the-People.  There are other options available, e.g. for digesting, getting only the subject lines, not getting messages but being registered so you can post (see below for rss feed)

There are also some "non-listserv" ways of managing your subscription.

2. one way is to use the RSS feed for this list ... that would let you have the list topics posted on an rss feed in your favorite "news" reader ... for example http://www.google.com/ig.  If you have set up to "post only", you can still contribute when a posting that interests you comes along.

3. Depending on your email reader, you may also be able to set up your program so that it automatically processes messages ... e.g. moving it to a special folder, coloring it a special way, etc.

If you have questions about any of these options, feel free to post back to the list with questions, and perhaps others can offer suggestions on how to improve the listserv experience.
