First, thank all of you that have helped me in the past - I do try to
use you for ILL as infrequently as possible.

Second, as a small corporate librarian with extremely few subscriptions,
I rely on ILL for almost everything. Fortunately, I am able to pay for
the priviledge.  But, because I don't have any memberships in corsortia,
I have had to figure out how to find libraries that can fill my needs.

So, some education for those who might not know.
WorldCat is a consolidated union catalog of the holdings of over 55,000
libraries worldwide. It is produced by OCLC and has been traditionally
accessed through a subscription interface called FirstSearch. However,
since the middle of last year, there has been another way to access
WorldCat.

You can now search for journal titles or ISSNs on
http://www.worldcat.org. (Use the advanced search screen.) You can then
limit your results to libraries in your country, your state (or another
state of interest), or near your zip code. 

I use this to find out which of my favorite libraries have my titles.
Then I confirm the holdings on their OPAC site. If I need to use an
non-familiar library, I go to their website and look at their ILL
policy. Sometimes, I call and beg "poor me, I'm small, I have no
resources, can you help." I nearly always get what I need - when I can
pay, and even when I can't.

We've Changed Our Name.
